We all have a lens in our eyes that is important for vision. Like the glasses we wear or the camera lenses we use, the clarity of what we see depends on the clarity of the lens in our eye. Cataracts are a condition in which the lens is dark and prevents clear vision. Although this is more common in the elderly, it is known to affect younger people.
